Veterinarian rescues dumpster puppy from behind the office, gives it to a family who just lost their cat to make their house feel like a home again: 'You're a hero'

After recently losing their cat, one family was feeling lost. But, as fate would have it, a coworker's wife found an abandoned puppy in the dumpster behind the veterinary office where she works. They had four dogs and couldn't keep him, so she gave the doggo who needed a home to the family who needed a new pet.

On the cat part of our website, I Can Has Cheezburger, we talk about something called the "Cat Distribution System" a lot. It's a meowsterious force of the universe that works to pair cats and kittens with their humans, or vice versa. The CDS is never wrong, and will deliver you a cat when they deem the time is right. Well, it seems like the CDS is working overtime because it's moonlighting as not only the Cat Distribution System, but now it's also moonlighting as the Canine Distribution System.

After finding an abandoned puppy in the dumpster behind her office, this veterinarian didn't know what to do. She had four dogs at home and couldn't adopt another, but then she remembered that her husband had a coworker whose family just lost their beloved family cat. Seeing an awwpportunity, she offered the puppy to them, knowing that it would turn help turn their pain into joy, and boy was she right!

Getting another pet after the loss of your own is always difficult. It does not erase your memories with your old one, nor will with the new one ever replace the other. However, it does allow you to build new memories and remember the joy of having a fluffy four-legged family member. It's the circle of life, and it truly is beautiful to watch it start all over again.

His brindle coloring makes him quite unique, so we suspect he's going to be an interesting mix of doggie DNA. Boxers, Dutch shepherds, and Staffordshire Bull Terriers are the first that come to mind, some other options could be greyhound, bullmastiff or cane corso. All of the above are breeds that most commonly have brindle patterns, but of course, there are others. Those ears scream some sort of shepherd, though!

When we were kids, we found a puppy in the woods in the middle of a thunderstorm. He was in really bad shape. We got him treated and healthy, but he was one of the most anxious dogs we've ever had. Never liked men, not even ones he knew since he was a puppy. Always liked to sleep in the corner, and would get overwhelmed quite easily. You never know what sort of terrible things they went through before you got to them, but all you can do is try to make the rest of their life pawfectly peaceful.
